Getting around Jakarta: TransJakarta, the MRT and the integrated fare
By Covered Abroad Research Desk · Last verified July 2026
The fares
The Jakarta provincial government publishes TransJakarta's fares:
- Regular fare — Rp3,500 (07:01 to 04:59)
- Economy fare — Rp2,000 (05:00 to 07:00)
TransJakarta runs 24 hours a day, with 269 stops along 14 corridors covering 251.2 km of busway, plus feeder and support buses that reach areas other modes don't.
If you use only one mode, each charges its normal fare: Rp3,500 for TransJakarta, Rp5,000 for LRT Jakarta, and up to Rp14,000 for the longest MRT Jakarta journey.

The Rp10,000 integrated fare
The most useful thing to know about Jakarta's public transport is the cap. According to the provincial government, since August 2022 the maximum integrated fare for a journey using TransJakarta, MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta is Rp10,000.
To get it, you need an electronic money card that has been activated for integration. JakLingko cards work directly; other cards — e-Money, Brizzi, TapCash, Flazz and JakCard are named — can be activated at the BCT machines in MRT and LRT stations and TransJakarta stops.
On TransJakarta, remember to tap in when you enter the stop and tap out at your destination.

The provincial government lists the electronic money cards accepted on TransJakarta, including the JakLingko card, Flazz BCA, e-Money Mandiri and TapCash BNI. At some stops you can also scan a QR code holding an electronic balance.
The JakLingko app, or the black JakLingko transport card, also covers KRL Commuter Line trains alongside the MRT, LRT and TransJakarta, so one card can cover most of greater Jakarta's network.
And a pleasant surprise for newcomers: the small minibuses carrying the JakLingko logo — properly called Mikrotrans — run on a free fare system.
