Health insurance for your move to Malaysia

Malaysia My Second Home is a long commitment — a fixed deposit, a property, and a pass measured in years rather than months. The health cover behind it should be built the same way. We arrange international plans for people living abroad, and we will be straight with you about whether one fits before you spend anything.

What the cover is

  • Worldwide cover, excluding treatment in the United States.
  • Zero deductible — you are not paying the first slice of every claim.
  • Inpatient and outpatient care, not emergencies only.
  • The whole household on one plan, children included.
  • Priced by age and cover level, not by which state you settle in.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered, and cover is governed by the Regency Assurance policy wording. We would rather you knew that now than found out at claim time.

Who this suits

MM2H participants, people on other long-stay passes, and families relocating for work. The common thread is length of stay: a pass that runs for years puts you outside the reach of travel insurance entirely, and private cover in Malaysia is what most long-stay residents end up relying on for anything beyond an emergency.

What your pass asks for

The insurance condition attached to a Malaysian long-stay pass is not the same for every applicant, and it does not sit where most people expect it in the process. We are reading it from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and the Immigration Department directly, and when we publish it here it will be quoted from those sources with the date we read them — the same standard we hold every other country on this site to.

Tell us which pass you are applying for and we will go through your situation with you directly.
