Health insurance for your move to Indonesia
If you are moving to Jakarta, Bali or anywhere else in Indonesia on a KITAS, the health cover you arrive with is the health cover you have. We arrange international plans built for people living abroad rather than travelling, and we will tell you plainly whether one fits your situation before you spend anything.
What the cover is
- Worldwide cover, excluding treatment in the United States.
- Zero deductible — you are not paying the first slice of every claim.
- Inpatient and outpatient care, not emergencies only.
- The whole household on one plan, children included.
- Priced by age and cover level, not by which city you settle in.
Pre-existing conditions are not covered, and cover is governed by the Regency Assurance policy wording. We would rather you knew that now than found out at claim time.
Who this suits
Most people who come to us for Indonesia fall into one of three groups: retirees settling for the long term, remote workers on a one-year permit whose employer covers nothing locally, and families relocating for a posting. What they have in common is that they are living somewhere their home-country cover no longer reaches, and the local public scheme is not a straightforward substitute for someone arriving on a limited stay permit.
What your permit asks for
Indonesia's stay permits do not all ask the same thing of your insurance — some routes set an explicit requirement and some set none at all. We are working through the official immigration sources route by route, and when we publish a requirement here it will be quoted from the government's own page with the date we read it, the same way we do for every other country on this site. We would rather show you nothing than show you an agent blog's summary.
In the meantime, tell us which permit you are applying for and we will go through it with you directly.
